The OAR was part of the conference Arts interdisciplinaires: Hi-Tech, Lo-Tech, No-Tech? of RAIQ (Regroupement des arts interdisciplinaires du Québec)

The conference was on May 28-28, 2010, at MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels), 3680, rue Jeanne-Mance, Montréal.

Talk: Collecting, Sorting and Strategizing in the Artist's Archive

After having conducted an investigation of the archives of the Arts interdisciplinaires: Hi-Tech, Lo-Tech, No-Tech? conference participants, the OAR reveals their findings through an informal group discussion. Drawing on consultants' individual specialties, the OAR examines how current and obsolete technologies have shaped the collecting, sorting and usage of these artists' materials.

Centre des arts actuels Skol invited the OAR to review their archives for their Summer 2009 programming. Confronted with an ever-growing mass of historical material, Centre des arts actuels Skol recruited the expertise of the OAR to conduct an investigation of their programming archives.

The OAR initiated various interventions, following a process that questions strategies of record keeping and self-preservation within the context of an artist-run centre.
